I always have had a warm place for black and white pictures; maybe it’s because I first used b&w film when I was learning about the technical aspects of photography. There’s also a much more genuine feel to black and white pictures that is difficult to achieve in color. Since delving into digital photography, I’ve admittedly abandoned b&w photography in favor of nicely saturated color-photographs. Last month, I finally popped a new roll of film into my dad’s Leica M-6 and have been snapping pictures sporadically with it. But b&w photos are expensive to develop ($15-20/roll) so I don’t know if this is a re-kindling of my old hobby.
