The only thing better than games is free games! You may or may not have heard of abandonware , but it’s pretty much the best thing ever (or close to it). Once games are deemed no longer profitable to developers, it is deemed as abandonware and is essentially free to the public. For nostalgia gamers like myself, this is sweet. On example: When I was in Middle school I used to be a huge Sierra (the game company) fan. Periodically, I want to play these old games, but they’re hard if not impossible to find in stores.
That’s why abandonware is great, it allows fans of old games to live out their past geekiness at a relatively low price [read: free]. The only problem with these old games is that newer computers are many times too fast to run these 1
